Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department has charged a driver following a serious rollover crash early this morning.
JOSHUA FRYE, AGE 20, of SANDOWN has been charged with:
- DUI Aggravated Collision with Serious Injury
- Vehicular Assault
- DUI Impairment
At approximately 12:20 a.m., Bedford Police officers responded to the area of Route 101 westbound at the Kilton Road off-ramp for a reported rollover crash. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 2015 Toyota Corolla had rolled over near the curve of the off-ramp.
During the rollover, a passenger was ejected from the vehicle. The passenger was transported by Bedford Rescue to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester with serious injuries. FRYE was transported by Bedford Rescue to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester with non-life threatening injuries.
The Bedford Technical Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene to investigate the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
The Kilton Road off-ramp was temporarily closed while first responders were at the scene. The road has since reopened and the scene has been cleared.
FRYE was booked following his release from the hospital. He was released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned at a later date at Hillsborough County Superior Court-Manchester.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
