Bedford Police Respond After Two Pedestrians Struck by Motor Vehicle

April 3, 2019 by

BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department responded to a home in town this morning after a motor vehicle struck a father and son.

At 7:15 a.m., Bedford Police and Fire responded to 169 Back River Road on a report that two pedestrians had been struck by a motor vehicle.

Upon arrival, first responders learned that an 18-year-old male from Bedford, driving a 2010 gray Chevrolet Malibu, was backing out of a driveway while the father and son were walking toward the school bus.

The 47-year-old father suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening and the 8-year old son suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by Bedford EMS to an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department Patrol Operations Division. Anyone who may have any information regarding the investigation should call Field Training Officer Robert G. Lavoie at 603-472-5113.
