Bedford Police Investigate Vandalism to Stop Signs, Mailboxes, and Realtor Postings
BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is investigating the vandalism of mailboxes, granite posts, multiple stop signs, and realtor postings that occurred Saturday night.
Bedford Police responded to Perry Road on Sunday morning for reports of vandalism. Upon arrival, they located a large realtor sign which had been spray painted blue. Further down the road, a mailbox and its post had been spray painted purple and blue.
Multiple stop signs in the area of Oriole Drive were also found vandalized later that morning at the intersections of:
- McIntosh Lane and Oriole Drive
- Blackbird Drive and Canary Lane
- Oriole Drive and Eagle Drive
- Oriole Drive and Olde Lantern Road
“The vandalism of street signs and other property is a quality of life issue that costs taxpayer money to repair,” Chief Bryfonski said. “Above that, defacing or damaging a stop sign creates a potentially dangerous situation for motorists. We will aggressively pursue those responsible.”
Police believe all vandalism occurred sometime after 9 p.m. Saturday night. Anyone with any information about the vandalism is urged to contact the Bedford Police Department at 603-472-5113.
